What You’ll Be Doing

• Diagnosing, servicing and repairing a range of vehicles including passenger cars, SUVs, trailers and light commercial vans

• Performing routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake repairs, suspension work and tyre rotations

• Carrying out advanced diagnostics and repairs on complex vehicle systems

• Communicating clearly with customers to understand their concerns and provide honest, transparent advice

Western Mechanical QLD is currently seeking a qualified Diesel Fitter to join our hardworking and friendly team in our Capella workshop, based in Central QLD. We're a family-owned and operated business that prides itself on delivering quality service and support to the agricultural industry.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Carrying out servicing, diagnostics, and major/minor repairs on a wide range of agricultural equipment and machinery

• Performing component rebuilds and preventative maintenance

• Completing daily job reports using computer-based systems (computer literacy is essential)

• Working both independently and as part of a supportive team

• Providing a high standard of customer service with strong communication and personal presentation

What We’re Looking For

• Trade qualified Diesel Fitter (preferred, but not essential)

• Solid experience in mechanical repairs and diagnostics

• Excellent time management and a strong work ethic

• Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and detail-oriented

• Able to work autonomously and collaboratively

• A sound understanding of electronics and/or agricultural machinery is highly regarded

• Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to customer satisfaction

• Current driver’s licence and own tools are required (specialty tools supplied)

We’re on the lookout for a Parts Interpreter to join our hardworking team in Capella, QLD. If you're passionate about machinery, have a keen eye for detail, and enjoy helping customers find what they need, we’d love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:
🔧 Interpret customer parts requirements in person and over the phone
📦 Source, order, quote, invoice and raise purchase orders
🔁 Liaise with the Service department to support workshop operations
🗂️ Organise work efficiently and to high standards

What We’re Looking For:
✔️ Previous experience as a Parts Interpreter (agriculture or automotive preferred)
✔️ Strong customer service skills
✔️ Computer literate and highly organised
✔️ Excellent attention to detail
✔️ Current driver’s license

✔️ Experience with MYOB preferred but not essential
